Do Nothing
Welcome to Odium of Povar! If you are reading this it is because you are interested in becoming a member or you already are one. We want to keep everyone happy and to do that we only have a very few rules. There has been some changes in some of our rules and policies so read this  to the end  before clicking you agree.

Guild Rules
1.) Respect others in and out of the guild. This covers so much and always goes back to the old adage "Do unto others as you want to be done to you." No KSING and NO TRAINING

2.) No inappropriate guild chat. Some people are offended by sex talk and foul language, keep it in tells.

3.) This is less of a rule than a request by me. Please play role instead of anon. I would like our good name to get out there so others know about us.

4.) If you aren't a good fit to our guild, at least trying to help now and then and getting along with people we reserve the right to remove you. Your trial will last 30 days and though it rarely happens, within that 30 days we have the right to remove you.

5.) If you can't get through the game without drama please don't apply to this guild. We are a low stress guild. We don't require you to raid, we try to help you in every way we can and we expect you to come in and get along. Remember to say your pleases and thank yous and if you have a problem with a guildie please post it in the approriate forum or ask an officer.

6.) If you need help ask for it in the right forum. We have an area on this site to ask for help and when people ask we listen, you are also welcome to send an officer a tell. Don't ask at the last second and expect everyone to show up, it might happen, but often times it doesn't. Also if you don't ask for help, don't complain that it didn't get done.

7) No starting or even getting involved in OOC arguments over KSing or Ninja looting or for any reason, please bring those types of problems to me so I can sort it out with other guild leaders. If I hear of you starting OOC arguments that is grounds for immediate removal.

8.) Members that are being abusive, obnoxious or generally disruptive may be removed from the guild at anytime without notice. Anyone removed will be permitted to contest the removal with the removing officer, guild leader or a panel of all officers. Profanity and generally upsetting comment will also not be tolerated in guild chat or chat channels accessed by raid members.

9.)Officers are faced with a lot of responsibility and are to be treated with RESPECT at all times. Disrespecting an officer will result in
guildremoval, a warning, or a suspension of privilages. Officers are expected to treat every member the same way.
Above all remember the golden rule, "Do unto others..." we will treat you all as friends and we expect you to do the same.

10.) Guild message board should be checked weekly (or more often) for events and general news. NEVER give out the password to message board in general channels or allow others to log in on your forum acccount. Tells to an officer will resolve board issues.

11.) We understand you may have friends from other guilds. However, should you provide your account information to a friend and they abuse the access to guild channel or our standards of behavior in any way... you are held responsible. They must answer any tells with honesty and respect.

12.) The Guild leader, officers and raid leaders take precedent when on raids. Do not criticize the leaders, the tactics, or participants in
open channels. Use tells or PM's with valid and respectful suggestions. You should read and be prepared for every raid with at
least the basic strategy as posted. You are expected to have invis devices, shrink devices and gate potions if you can't just cast them.
Open dissention is cause for removal.

Raid Rules
A raid requires the utmost attention and coordination to make it a success, here are some simple guidelines to follow.

Arrive on time at the scheduled place ready to go. This means have enough food and water along with any items you may need.

Always defer to the commands of the raid leader. He has gone through a lot of trouble to plan the raid, and though the reason he may be asking you to do something is not obvious, there is a reason.

Do not snivel and whine about the group you are assigned to. See the previous paragraph.

You may nor may not get experience on every raid we plan. Accept it. Many raids will be planned with the intent of helping a fellow guild-mate achieve his or her own goal. Consider that by helping out you are helping increase the power of the guild overall.

Do not wander around on a raid. Keep close to your group and follow the commands of your group leader.

Consider obtaining your own map for the zone we are raiding in. It will greatly facilitate the raid leader and help the raid go off as a success.

Loot Policies

A raid is not an opportunity for members of the guild to line their pockets. It is an opportunity to maybe obtain that item you have been seeking, interact with your guild members, and just have fun. Looting Rights on any raid will be assigned at the raid leaders discretion.

All platinum drops on a raid are property of the guild. These monies will go to the guild bank to help facilitate future raids. Look up the section about the guild bank for further information. Anyone assigned looting rights is expected to give the raid leader any platinum drops you may have collected over the course of the raid, no exceptions. Not doing so is considered, for all intents and purposes, to be stealing from the guild and automatic grounds for dismissal.

Any gems, jewelry or pages are also considered guild property. They will either go to the guild bank for spells, spell research, or to be sold.

Special items are specifically need before greed. If more than one person has need for any item it is rolled upon. We expect honesty in this, if you truly do not need the item, do not tell us you do. Need does not entail your alts!!!! Only the need of your character attending the raid is weighed into this. Any special items that no one particularly needs, but still is desirable to have, will be rolled upon. This will be an open roll for anyone who wants to. Items that are not needed nor desired by anyone in the guild will go to the guild bank. Again, read more about the guild bank on the guild bank page. Final authority on all special items will rest with the raid leader, or in his absence the Chancellor or any officer of the guild.
Some raids will be planned with the intent of acquiring a certain item for a certain guild member. Obviously the item in question will go to that member. Do not complain about this or insist we roll for it, instead contact the General and suggest we do it again so you may get the item.

Finally, a raid is an experience that allows all of us to work on our coordination and teamwork, please be mindful of this. Most importantly, a raid is a chance to see new places and do new things, so have fun with it.

Listen carefully to the raid leader. Some raids have a LOT of things that need to be said before it is started. Once the raid leader starts giving instructions, raid chat will be kept clear of all chat of any kind. Raid leader will be talking only. When this time comes pay close attention to what is being said as ultimately the success of the raid depends on it. If you have a question or are unsure of anything ask your grp leader or Class leader. RL's are usually extremely busy and it just takes away time when they have to answer all kinds of questions that could be answered by numerous other ppl.

As ODIUM is small and growing, we are in the process of building a raid force. For the time being. We will use random rolls for drops. Need before Greed still stands. If the item is an upgrade for a main and an alt the main gets item over alt. Be advised that once we have enough members in the guild and a big enough raid force we will be using DKP.

Know what is going on. Do not just come into the zone and expect the raid leaders to dish you all the info every time. RL's will give out basic info such as: damage type, resists needed, AE's, mob resists, specific placements things of that nature. You should become familiar with each raid on your own so that basic things are known, such as do the mobs respawn, is there a lockout timer, is it safe to invis, will AE's be a problem etc..

Do not ninja AFK. If you MUST go AFK make sure you make it BLATENTLY OBVIOUS to your group AND the raid AND turn on your AFK tag using /afk. If you fail to do this, you most likely will be left behind with no remorse should you die. Grp leaders are responsible for the whereabouts of your grp. It is much easier to ask a grp leader if all are there than asking the entire raid.

Clickies and Hailing. Inside of pretty much every raid zone there is some kind of "clicky". Unless you have been SPECIFICALLY told to click or hail something, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING, WHATSOEVER, AT ANY TIME. If it's a clicky for some kind of quest update, we will let you know when it’s safe to click. Until then DO NOT CLICK OR HAIL ANYTHING.

Never get ahead of the MT/Raid Leader when going through zones. Unless you wish to die horribly with no remorse you should stay behind the MT/Raid leader at all times. If the MT/Raid Leader stops, you stop behind him. Chances are there was a reason for the stoppage. The Raid Leader will let you die if you get ahead of me and piss off a mob you shouldn't have. Even if you know exactly where the Raid may be headed please follow this rule and stay behind the RL. Lots of zones have "traps" spread throughout, the MT/RL's know where these traps are, but chances are most others do not. STAY BEHIND THE MT/RL at all times.

There will be many times when we are trying something for the very first time (possibly even the 10th time). In these instances you need to have patience and understanding for everything that is going on. EXPECT multiple wipes as various strategies and tactics are worked out and or refined. It will be frustrating for all involved but more so the RL. If we don't put enough effort into something for the first time then the next time we come back things will be the exact same. If you have a problem with wiping numerous times on something new, or even something old for that matter, let the RL know so that you can be replaced with someone without these issues.

ALWAYS assist the MA at all times. You can target the MA directly to assist that way or type in /assist __________. Do not take it upon yourself to "help out" and kill the little buddy off to the side. It just makes things longer. The Raid Leader will more than likely let you die if I notice you are attacking something you shouldn’t be. Be sure to "Re-assist" NUMEROUS TIMES throughout the fight as well. Depending on what the fight is and who is MA a lot of time the MA will be switching targets.

Do not flame, harass or anything of the likes while raiding. If somebody does something wrong, or messes up, handle it professionally. If whatever someone did really pisses you off let an officer know so they can deal with it. If you are caught flaming or generally harassing someone else, chances are good that’ll you won’t be raiding with us for awhile. Respect can go a long way in this game. Treat others how you wish to be treated.

Raid rules are subject to change as issues arise. Do not expect to read this once and know what you are doing out there. Continue to check back for new/updated raid rules, especially if the raid leader announces a need to change something.
During raids do not bother the officers with tells or leave in anger.  If you have a problem with things that are happening, hold off until the end of the raid and send a tell to the raid leader, guild leaders, or officers then.  One tell to a raid leader in the middle of the raid could mean the disruption of the whole raid.  If you have something that needs immediate attention please send a tell to an officer that is not involved in leading the raid or say something to your group leader.
